Welcome to the EAA Chapter 414 web site!

Here we hope to provide a clear picture of who we are and what we do. Our main purpose is to support sport aviation activities. We have many members actively flying and/or building experimental homebuilt aircraft of so many types and styles that they would be too numerous to mention here. Our approx. 80 members are mainly located in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin, although some are scattered as far away as Florida and California, yet they maintain their contact with the chapter.

We are active is youth activities, such as the EAA Young Eagles program. Some of our members have flown more than 1200 young people, giving them their first flight in a small aircraft. From these beginnings, new pilots will someday emerge to fly their own Young Eagles perhaps.

This web site will continually evolve to make it more informative and useful for all our visitors. Please feel free to drop me a line. If you're interested in joining an EAA Chapter, either ours or any of the hundreds of others, contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
